Dr. Mary Jenkins

Living Well with Parkinson’s Disease

Dr. Mary Jenkins is a Movement Disorders Neurologist and Professor at the University of Western Ontario since 2004. Dr. Jenkins started out her working life as a physical therapist, working with individuals with Parkinson’s disease. She completed her MD and Neurology residency at the University of Western Ontario. Following residency, Dr. Jenkins completed two years of fellowship training in Movement Disorders. Dr. Jenkins works as a neurologist at London Health Sciences Centre. Her research interests include motor control in Parkinson’s disease.

Dr. Angela Roberts

Staying Connected: Cognition, Communication, and Everyday Life in Parkinson’s Disease

Dr. Angela Roberts is a speech-language pathologist and faculty member at Western University. She holds a Canada Research Chair in Data Analytics and Digital Health in Cognitive Aging and Dementia. Her interdisciplinary work sits at the intersection of communication sciences, aging, and digital health, with a focus on understanding and supporting communication and cognitive changes in neurodegenerative conditions—including Parkinson’s disease and dementia. She develops ecologically valid, technology-enabled approaches to measure real-world function and participation, and collaborates with community and clinical partners to improve quality of life for older adults and carepartners.
