Join us at Guelph Police Service Headquarters for an in-depth discussion for people with Parkinson’s disease (PD), carepartners, community members and Guelph Police Officers who share one goal – to ensure that the community is safe and accessible. This is your opportunity to ask questions and voice your concerns. We will have a coffee with members of the Traffic and Fraud Units!
We’ve had incidents where people with Parkinson’s have been accused of impaired driving, or refused another drink at a bar, because their symptoms are confused with alcohol-induced impairment. Let’s discuss this further with an officer form the Traffic Unit.
We are also seeing an increase in scams and fraud and we will be joined by an officer from the Fraud Unit who will be able to answer our questions.
