In honour of national fitness month, this presentation will examine the benefits of exercise and physiotherapy for people living with Parkinson’s. We will look at some basic exercises that can be completed at all stages of the disease.

Speaker Bio

Laura O’Brien is a Registered Physiotherapist and a member of the Ontario and Canadian Physiotherapy Associations. Laura attended Brock University for her Bachelor of Physical Education Honours Kinesiology degree prior to attaining her Masters of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Western Ontario.

Laura has completed a Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). She provides mentorship through the national Orthopedic Division to Physiotherapists wishing to progress their skills and clinical reasoning.
