Legacy Gifts

Providing Hope For Today and Tomorrow

Your Planned Gift ensures that our volunteers and staff will be able to reach more people with Parkinson’s in Southwestern Ontario through support services, education, advocacy and research. A Planned Gift allows us to provide more programs and services. It gives us the opportunity to recruit specialized healthcare and allied professionals to offer dedicated and appropriate support services in the community, especially for people with advanced Parkinson’s.

Bequest in Your Will

A carefully written Will ensures that your assets are distributed according to your wishes. A cash bequest for a specific amount of money can be a legacy to a loved one. A bequest in your Will – to Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario – can help you give back to your community.

Gift of Life Insurance

You can make a significant gift with your life insurance policy – either by signing over an existing policy, or by purchasing a new policy naming Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario as sole owner and beneficiary

Charitable Remainder Trust

You can transfer property to a trust, naming Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario as the capital beneficiary.

Gift of Residual Interest

You can make a gift in your lifetime (or a testamentary gift) of the residual interest in a property. You can continue using the property for life or for however long you choose.

Gift Annuity

A gift annuity means you can donate money today and ensure that you have a stable income for the rest of your life. When you make a cash gift, Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario purchases, on your behalf, an annuity designed to suit your personal needs, and pays you a lifetime income. When you pass away, the principal goes to Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario to benefit the lives of people with Parkinson’s.

If you are interested in giving in any of the ways mentioned above, contact Shelley Rivard, CEO at shelley.rivard@psso.ca or by calling 1-888-851-7376.
