“It’s nice to be with people who know what you’re going through”

Rob has Parkinson’s disease and his sister-in-law, Chris, was inspired to help.

“I had a slight tremor, by the third neurologist, they told me it was Parkinson’s. I didn’t really tell anyone so it was like living in a shell for 7 years.”

Rob shares that he participates in programs and also volunteers as a way to be involved and fight Parkinson’s.

“It’s been about seven years since I’ve been leading the local Wellington-Dufferin Support Group” shares Chris.

The two agree that being involved and around others who are going through similar experiences is a great way to stay connected and supported.
