Volunteers are an integral part of our team, using the gift of time and talent to make a difference in the lives of people affected by Parkinson’s disease across Southwestern Ontario. PSSO heavily relies on the generous support of volunteers as they continue to help us grow and work together towards accomplishing the goals of our organization. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization for a number of reasons.
As a PSSO Support Group Facilitator, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming space for people affected by Parkinson’s to share and connect. This role requires empathy, strong communication, and a commitment to inclusivity. Facilitators lead one monthly meeting (1–2 hours) with some planning time. By volunteering, you’ll make a meaningful impact, support carepartners and clients, and help strengthen community connection.
