Counselling Program
Are you feeling stress about:
- Adapting to a Parkinson’s diagnosis?
- Workplace uncertainties?
- Sharing a diagnosis with family and friends?
- Uncertainty about the future?
- Progression of the disease?
- Depression and anxiety?
You Are Not Alone!
Individuals with Parkinson’s, their Carepartners and family members often find it helpful to talk with someone about their challenges. When you call Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario, you will speak with someone who is knowledgeable about Parkinson’s and compassionate about your situation. A trained staff person will help answer your questions and provide information about resources and healthcare services in your area.
Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario, through a partnership with King’s Western University Social Work program, invites you to call for FREE, short-term, confidential and non-judgemental counselling offered by social work student(s). Counselling will focus on supportive listening, identifying key concerns, processing issues, and mutual goal-setting for positive change through a solution-focused model.
If you’re interested in counselling, please complete the form below and we’ll get in touch. Counselling is available at our London office, by phone, or online via Zoom. Responses may not be immediate, so if you need help right away, please reach out to Additional Mental Health & Crisis Supports.
